Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality direct patient care, support clinical staff, and assist patients with their daily needs across various care settings. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and feeding to promote comfort and independence Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems Support clinical teams by preparing patients for procedures and assisting during medical interventions with aseptic technique and infection control protocols Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory impairments, or behavioral health needs in memory or behavioral health units Administer medications as directed by licensed healthcare providers while adhering to HIPAA regulations and medication administration protocols Operate patient lifts such as Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers and mobility assistance Document patient interactions thoroughly in medical records ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards and legal requirements Experience Previous experience working as a CNA or in a healthcare setting such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care environments is highly preferred Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks is advantageous Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to patient care Critical care experience including ICU or Level I Trauma Center exposure is a plus Familiarity with specialized areas such as hospice care, pediatric or geriatric care, post-acute or sub-acute care settings enhances your suitability for this role Working knowledge of infection control practices including aseptic techniques and infectious disease care is essential Experience supporting patients with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs adds value to your application Join us if you're passionate about providing compassionate patient service in diverse healthcare environments.
