Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and clinical skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients. In this vital role, you will provide hands-on support across various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care environments. Your expertise in patient care, medical documentation, and health monitoring will ensure our residents and clients receive the highest quality of personalized attention. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work with diverse populations, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those requiring specialized dementia or hospice care. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help foster a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for all. Responsibilities Assist with daily patient care activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature; document findings accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Support medical procedures such as catheter care, tube feeding, medication administration, and wound care while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols. Assist with medical documentation, ensuring accurate recording of patient information, medication logs, and treatment plans utilizing medical terminology and anatomy knowledge. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments; participate in hospice or palliative care activities when needed. Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control procedures and assisting with equipment sterilization and supply management. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide reassurance and education about ongoing care needs. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home & community care environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical procedures including catheter care, tube feeding, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring specialized dementia or Alzheimer's care is advantageous. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation is desirable. Proven ability to follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to physiology and anatomy to support effective communication within healthcare teams. Previous caregiving experience in acute or long-term care settings will help you excel in this dynamic role. $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
