Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team as Home Health Aide. This vital role involves providing high-quality patient care in the home environments. This position involves travel to patient homes, Hours are 7:00am to 2:230p and 2:00pm to 10:00pm. Weekday and weekend hours needed. Hourly pay is $17.75 per hour with mileage. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to supporting patients' physical and emotional well-being. A minimum of 1 year prior work experience in home health., long term care, or acute care required. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working in a dynamic healthcare environment. This position requires background checks and pre-employment drug screening. EOE Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report any abnormalities to nursing staff. Support patient mobility and transfer needs with proper techniques to ensure safety. Maintain detailed medical documentation ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Observe and document patient responses to treatments and report changes in condition promptly. Provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as Alzheimer's, dementia, or behavioral health needs. Assist with medical procedures including catheter care, phlebotomy, and basic life support when required. Support infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care across inpatient, outpatient, or home settings. Experience Minimum previous experience of 1 year working in healthcare environments such as hospitals (including , nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care is required). Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical-surgical procedures is essential. Experience with EMR/EHR systems highly desirable. Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental delays, and those requiring specialized memory or behavioral health care. Familiarity with infection control practices and aseptic techniques is required for maintaining patient safety standards. This position is integral to delivering compassionate patient care while supporting the overall functioning of healthcare teams across various clinical settings.
