The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including nursing homes and memory care facilities. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients while assisting with daily activities and medical needs. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Provide basic life support when necessary and ensure patient safety at all times. Support nursing staff in medical-surgical tasks and hospital medicine procedures. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to aseptic techniques. Assist with mobility by lifting or transferring patients as required. Uphold patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient care. Skills Proficiency in basic life support techniques. Experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes or memory care facilities is preferred. Ability to lift and move patients safely while ensuring their comfort. Knowledge of phlebotomy practices is a plus. Familiarity with medical-surgical procedures and hospital medicine protocols. Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to prevent infection. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
