Summary
Responsible for providing direct, patient-centered care and support to patients under the supervision of registered nurses or other healthcare professionals by performing essential duties related to patient care, including personal hygiene assistance, vital signs monitoring, and clinical support, ensuring patients' comfort, safety, and well-being. Yes Essential Functions
- Assist patients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility. Provide basic care, including turning, repositioning, and toileting assistance as needed.
- Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates. Report any abnormalities to the supervising nurse.
- Promote patient comfort and respond promptly to patient calls and needs. Assist with pain management, emotional support, and ensuring patient dignity.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by ensuring cleanliness, proper use of medical equipment, and adherence to infection control protocols.
- Accurately document patient care activities, observations, and vital signs in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, including nurses, physicians, and other support staff, to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care. Relay relevant information regarding patient conditions and concerns.
- Assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of medical equipment, including wheelchairs, hospital beds, and monitoring devices.

- Strong ability to provide empathetic, patient-centered care with respect for patients' dignity and privacy.
- Ability to accurately monitor and document patient information and report any changes or concerns promptly.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, moving patients, and standing for extended periods.
- Collaborative mindset to work efficiently with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
