C.N.A. Clinical Instructor
EXTERNAL
Brockton High School is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse with long-term care experience to serve as a clinical supervisor for our Career and Technical Education students who are earning their CNA certification. This is a short-term position, to take place during April vacation, April 20-April 25, with the possibility to work 4-6 additional hours in preparation of the April vacation clinical hours.
Required Duties:
  • Instruct and supervise C.N.A. students in clinical settings such as nursing homes, and assisted living facilities
  • Demonstrate proper patient care techniques including bathing, feeding, transferring, and vital signs monitoring, and documentation
  • Evaluate student performance and proficiency during hands-on clinical rotations and provide constructive feedback
  • Ensure students follow infection control protocols, safety procedures, and HIPAA regulations
  • Prepare students for state certification examinations through knowledge, skills practice and testing
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, proficiency, and clinical hours
  • Coordinate with healthcare facility staff to arrange appropriate learning experiences
  • Address student questions and provide mentorship throughout the training program
  • Stay current with changes in nursing assistant practices and state regulations
Experience Needed:
  • Active RN or LPN license
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in long-term care
  • Previous teaching, training, precepting or mentoring experience (preferred)
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • Knowledge of state-specific C.N.A. training requirements and competency evaluation standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as clinical rotations require
  • Clearance check and health screenings as required by clinical facilities (i.
e. negative TB test)
Hours:
44 hours (approximate) Anticipated start date: 4/10/2026 to visit and orient to the clinical setting, with actual clinical session the week of April 20 - 25th.
