Job Description
Job Summary Join our team as a Nursing Assistant on the Medical-Surgical Unit (Wheeler 4 - Pediatric/Adult), where you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care across both pediatric and adult populations in a fast-paced acute care setting. Working under the direction of licensed nursing staff, you will support patient care activities while ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for every patient. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, adaptable, and eager to grow within a collaborative healthcare environment. You'll be part of a team committed to excellence, patient-centered care, and strong clinical outcomes. Key Responsibilities Assist with daily patient care needs, including hygiene, mobility, and comfort measures Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff Support nurses with clinical tasks within scope of practice Provide age-appropriate care to both pediatric and adult patients Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with all regulatory standards Minimum Qualifications Education High School Diploma or equivalent required Experience At least 1 year of acute care or medical-surgical clinical experience preferred Experience with pediatric and/or adult patient populations preferred Licensure & Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred Skills & Competencies Strong clinical skills, including accurate vital sign measurement Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care across all age groups Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment Basic computer proficiency for documentation Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism Why Join Us?
