Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) - ST

GNA needed in Annapolis MD Evening Shift Monday - Friday & Every other Weekend 6 Week assignment The Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) performs direct patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The Geriatric Nursing Assistant performs a variety of individualized patient care activities including bathing, dressing, feeding and transporting as well as related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comforts of the geriatric patient population.

• Minimum Requirements:

• + Active CNA with Geriatric Certification, required + Experience with memory care patients, preferred + Prefer one year of geriatric nursing assistant experience as a certified nursing assistant within the last three years.

+ Graduate from certified nursing assistant program with subsequent documentation as a certified nursing assistant per state requirements with proof of verification as being an active certification and having the ability to be work with geriatrics per state requirements.

• Knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of clerical functions.

+ Current

CPR + TB

questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable + Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age
