CNA I (Formerly GNA) - Staffing Resource Pool / Float Pool Summary CNA I (Formerly GNA) - Staffing Resource Pool / Float Pool Levindale Hospital | Baltimore, MD Union Position Make an Impact Across Multiple Care Settings Levindale Hospital is seeking compassionate, flexible, and motivated CNA I's (formerly GNA's) to join our Staffing Resource Pool Float Team. This unique opportunity allows caregivers to work across multiple patient care units while gaining valuable experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, memory care, behavioral health, and medical support environments. As part of the Staffing Resource Pool, you'll play an essential role in supporting patient care operations throughout the hospital while building a broad clinical skillset and making a meaningful impact on the lives of older adults.
UNIT SUMMARY
The Staffing Resource Pool is a designated supplemental staffing pool where team members float across various units to support patient care needs throughout Levindale Hospital. Staff members in this role must be adaptable, team-oriented, compassionate, and committed to providing exceptional care in a variety of healthcare settings. Provides safe, age-appropriate patient care while assisting patients and residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment. Float Pool CNA I team members provide care across multiple units and patient populations based on staffing and operational needs. Responsibilities Include Assisting patients and residents with bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, grooming, and mobility Supporting safe patient transfers and ambulation using proper equipment and techniques Monitoring and reporting changes in patient condition to nursing staff Assisting with vital signs and routine patient care tasks Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized patient environment Providing compassionate care to patients with medical, memory care, and behavioral health needs Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support positive patient outcomes Floating to assigned units based on hospital staffing needsREQUIREMENTS
Education High school diploma or GED equivalent required Licensure & Certification Current Maryland Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant (CNA I) license required Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Associaiton or American Red Cross Experience 2-3 years of experience in medical, dementia, rehabilitation, or behavioral health settings Skills Basic computer literacy and familiarity with electronic health records such as Synquest Experience using assistive equipment including Hoyer lifts and specialty beds Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to adapt quickly to varying patient populations and care environmentsAdditional Information Who We Are:
