Description Maine Medical Center Biddeford
  • Float Pool Part-Time, Day Shift | 24 Hours, 12-Hour Shifts 6:45AM
  • 7:15PM | Every Third Weekend Nursing/Clinical Support Req #: 70973 For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) : 0
  • 1 years of experience is eligible for up to $2,500 (full time) 1+ years of experience eligible for up to $4,000 (full time) Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time ANA/CNA position.
Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
Additional Information:
The Nursing Float Pool is the department for CNA's that are seeking a challenge and would like exposure to a broad range of patient acuity levels. The CNA joining the Float Pool is looking to gain or build upon a broad range of clinical skills and knowledge base. Ability to float between Medical-Surgical Units with focus of Cardiac and Post-Surgical diagnoses, as well as our Special Care unit; which provides great exposure to specialties while continuing to expand your experience and skills.
Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Acute Care role assists in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Performs a variety of direct and indirect care duties. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
License/Certifications :
Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
Experience :
Relevant experience preferred.
