Position Summary:
As directed by the team leader and the Registered Nurse and in partnership with the health care team and patient/ family, performs work processes to accomplish positive patient outcomes, and organizational goals. Provision of care focuses on psychosocial support and activities of daily living.
Responsibilities:
Cares for patients demonstrating clinical competence in implementing a plan of care. Maintains basic technician skills, such as obtaining vital signs. Reports observations, including any change in residents condition to Registered Nurse in a timely and accurate manner. Performs interventions to enhance psychosocial support. Assists residents to Activities. Provides/assists with care to support physical function for activities of daily living, such as toileting, bathing, feeding, and ambulation which allow residents to achieve their highest practical level of function. Documents according to facility guidelines to accurately reflect care provided immediately after performing procedure or task. Performs other duties consistent with purpose of job as directed.
Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program
  • Certified as a Competency Evaluated Nurse Aide (CENA) in the
State of Michigan Preferred:
  • Prior experience in direct patient care
