Aide Service Coordinator About Us Amara is a compassionate, patient-centered hospice organization dedicated to providing exceptional end-of-life care. We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Aide Service Coordinator to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality hospice services. Position Summary The Aide Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating hospice aide services, managing staff schedules, conducting interviews and onboarding activities, overseeing electronic charting devices, processing payroll-related functions, and ensuring Aid staff competency compliance. This role serves as a vital link between clinical staff, patients, caregivers, and administration. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and maintain schedules for hospice aides to ensure adequate patient coverage and continuity of care. Recruit, interview, and assist with onboarding new hospice aides and support staff. Monitor staffing needs and collaborate with clinical leadership to address scheduling challenges. Manage company-issued devices used for electronic charting, including setup, distribution, troubleshooting coordination, and inventory tracking. Review timecards and prepare payroll information for accurate and timely processing. Maintain employee records, certifications, and competency documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements. Coordinate and track annual competencies, skills validations, and mandatory training programs. Communicate effectively with aides, nurses, patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Ensure compliance with company policies, hospice regulations, and accreditation standards. Assist with administrative and operational projects as needed. Qualifications High school diploma required; CNA a must; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Previous experience in healthcare scheduling, staffing coordination, hospice, home health, or healthcare administration preferred. Experience with payroll processing and workforce management systems. Strong interviewing, organizational, and time-management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of hospice regulations and healthcare staffing requirements is a plus.
