Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. This vital role involves providing hands-on support to individuals across various healthcare settings, including long-term care, hospitals, assisted living, and community-based care. As a CNA, you will work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care while fostering a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in diverse clinical areas and contribute to the well-being of those in need. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices. Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring accurate documentation in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health management. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy preparation, and aseptic techniques in various clinical settings like
ICU, PICU
(Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or surgical units. Maintain a safe environment by following infection control protocols for infectious disease care and practicing proper hand hygiene and aseptic techniques. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care, post-acute settings, or outpatient clinics to ensure comprehensive patient service and support recovery goals. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental delays, or behavioral health needs across settings such as long-term care or community programs. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) procedures essential for patient safety. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation and record keeping. Strong caregiving skills demonstrated through experience in geriatrics, hospice care, home & community care, or hospital environments including Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers. Ability to perform complex patient care tasks such as catheter care, vital signs monitoring, and working with specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or DME (Durable Medical Equipment). Experience supporting pediatric patients in PICU or outpatient clinics; working with children is highly valued. Excellent communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient service; understanding of HIPAA compliance is essential.
