Job:
ACCESS Family Care is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team! This position provides clinical and administrative support at our Anderson clinic location. Key Responsibilities:
Assist with patient intake, including obtaining vital signs, medical history, and reason for visit. Administer medications, injections, and immunizations per provider orders. Perform diagnostic tests, specimen collection, EKGs, and other clinical tasks. Assist providers with minor procedures and treatments. Educate patients on medications, treatments, and follow-up care. Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record (EHR). Support administrative tasks such as scheduling, referrals, and supply management.
Qualifications:
Education:
Diploma or certification as a Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Certification/Licensure:
MA:
Certification (CMA, RMA) preferred.
LPN:
Active MO state licensure required. BLS/CPR certification required.
Experience:
2+ year of experience in a clinic or outpatient setting preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with EHR systems. ACCESS Family Care conducts pre-employment drug testing in accordance with state and federal laws.
