Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, with experience in various clinical settings and a thorough understanding of medical procedures. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to patients across diverse healthcare environments, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and home care settings. Your expertise will help ensure patient comfort, safety, and dignity while assisting medical staff with essential duties. Duties Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, ensuring proper documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Support patients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, or behavioral health conditions by implementing tailored approaches and maintaining a safe environment. Assist healthcare professionals with medical procedures including phlebotomy, catheter care, aseptic techniques, and medication administration under supervision. Maintain infection control standards by practicing proper hand hygiene, using personal protective equipment (PPE), and adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Facilitate communication between patients and the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care delivery in inpatient, outpatient, or home care settings. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively in various environments such as
ICU, PICU
(Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or Level I Trauma Centers. Support discharge planning and post-acute care by educating patients and families on medication management and self-care routines. Qualifications Valid CNA certification with current licensure in the relevant state or region. Prior experience working in diverse healthcare settings including hospitals (especially ICU or emergency medicine), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or hospice environments. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation. Experience with specialized patient populations including those with developmental disabilities or infectious disease needs. Knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to patient assessment and basic life support procedures. Familiarity with medical terminology related to geriatrics, pediatrics, surgical procedures (medical-surgical), and behavioral health interventions. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks involving lifting equipment like Hoyer lifts or working with patients requiring mobility assistance. Strong interpersonal skills to provide compassionate caregiving while maintaining professionalism in high-pressure environments such as Level II trauma centers or urgent care clinics.
