About the
Role:
Certified Nursing Assistant's (CNA) play a vital role in providing direct patient care and support within healthcare settings across the United States. This position focuses on assisting patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity while supporting delivering high-quality care. This role requires compassionate interaction with patients and their families, fostering a supportive and respectful environment. Ultimately, the CNA contributes significantly to the overall patient experience.Minimum Qualifications:
Current and valid CNA certification recognized in the state of employment. Completion of an accredited CNA training program. Basic knowledge of patient care and safety procedures. Ability to pass a background check and meet health screening requirements.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a hospital, nursing home, in home care, or long-term care facility. CPR and First Aid certification. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Responsibilities:
Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, addressing their needs and concerns. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients by following infection control protocols. Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals regarding patient status and care plans. Assist with patient transfers and positioning to prevent bedsores and promote comfort. Document patient care activities accurately and timely in compliance with company policies.Skills:
The CNA utilizes strong interpersonal skills daily to build trust and rapport with patients, ensuring their comfort and emotional well-being. Attention to detail is critical when monitoring vital signs and documenting patient information accurately to support clinical decision-making. Physical stamina and dexterity are essential for assisting patients with mobility and personal care tasks safely. Effective communication skills enable the CNA to collaborate seamlessly with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals, ensuring coordinated patient care.
