Incentive Eligible Position:
Yes Essential Functions:
Assists in daily living activities such as serving meals, turning or repositioning patients, providing water and nourishment between meals. Grooming and bathing patients with low mobility. Maintain patient stability by checking vital signs. Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, and doctors. Provide and empty bedpans. Lift patients into beds, wheelchairs, exam tablets, etc. Answer patient calls. Examine patients for bruises, blood in urine or other injuries/wounds. Clean and sanitize patient areas. Change bed sheets and restock rooms with necessary supplies.
Skills Abilities:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels. Ability to complete competency CPR and First Aid. Ability to perform simple mathematical equations. Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Effective oral and written communication skills.
Working Conditions:
Exposure to distressed patients, families or visitors. Possible exposure to inside environmental conditions.
Physical Demands:
Requires standing, sitting or walking for up to 8 hours or longer per day. The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate or certificate from accredited nursing program/college. High school graduate or equivalent. Class C Basic Life Support (CPR) within 90 days of employment and renewed biannually. Must adhere to the NRMC appearance and attire policy.
Preferred Qualifications:
One year of general, acute Medical/Surgical Nursing or Skilled Nursing.
