Job Description

SUMMARY:
Neonatal ICU, Mother-Baby, Labor & Delivery, Lactation, and Perinatal Education departments, With 150-200 deliveries a month, two ORs for cesarean sections, and an average daily census of eight NICU babies, our units are busy, fast-paced, and offer the opportunity to provide specialty and critical care in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Our hospital has earned the Advanced Certification in Perinatal Care from The Joint Commission, setting us apart in the community as a leader in maternal and neonatal care. We work closely with Childrens Mercy neonatology specialists who staff our NICU and delivery team 24/7, as well as respiratory care and other specialists, to provide the best possible outcomes. SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, RN, LPN, will assist in the care of patients by performing basic nursing care and support tasks on assigned units.
EXPERIENCE
Hospital experience within last 3 years required; pediatric experience preferred.
OTHER:
Basic computer skills
LICENSE/CERT
Required:
BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association)
Preferred:
CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant)
EDUCATION
Required:
High School or Equivalent
