Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts, and catheter care. Monitor vital signs and record patient information accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Support medical procedures including phlebotomy, medication administration, and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and comfort. Maintain detailed medical documentation, update patient records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, answering phones, and coordinating patient flow within the clinic or office environment. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings including ICU, emergency medicine, geriatrics, behavioral health, and post-acute care to provide comprehensive support. Engage with patients of all ages—pediatrics to geriatrics—and work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges in home or community care settings. Qualifications Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required; experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly valued. Prior experience working in medical offices, hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or hospice settings preferred. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with medical documentation standards. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient care. Experience with specialized areas such as Alzheimer's/dementia/memory care or infectious disease management is a plus. Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and handle medical equipment including Hoyer lifts and catheters confidently.
