Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs, medical documentation, and patient progress accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings such as hospitals (including ICU, trauma centers, PICU), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, outpatient clinics, and home care environments Assist with procedures like catheter care, phlebotomy preparation, and infection control practices in accordance with medical standards Engage in patient service activities across diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health patients, and those with developmental disabilities or infectious diseases Skills Proven experience working in long-term care facilities, hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), or similar healthcare environments such as skilled nursing or sub-acute care settings Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks; proficiency in medical documentation and medical terminology Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to patient care across age groups and conditions Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) and demonstrate competency in aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Experience working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs; expertise in dementia or Alzheimer's care highly valued Skilled in using patient mobility equipment such as Hoyer lifts; capable of assisting with transfers safely and effectively Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and provide compassionate patient service in fast-paced environments such as emergency medicine or urgent care clinics Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
