Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a Caregiver, CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), or HHA (Home Health Aide) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care. This role offers an engaging opportunity to provide essential support in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care environments. You will be instrumental in promoting independence, safety, and comfort for those you serve while working within a dynamic and supportive team. All positions are paid, recognizing the vital contributions of dedicated caregiving professionals. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices. Monitor patient observations by regularly checking vital signs and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals promptly. Support medication administration following medical guidelines and documentation protocols to ensure safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Document medical records accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, maintaining confidentiality at all times. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral management strategies. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, hospice support, and wound care as trained and authorized. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary needs while maintaining safety standards in food handling and cleaning. Support clients in their homes or community settings by helping with housekeeping tasks like laundry and light cleaning to promote a safe living environment. Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, including assisting with medical documentation and communicating patient status effectively. Engage in ongoing training on medical terminology, CPR certification, and best practices for long-term care to enhance caregiving skills. Skills Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in health status quickly and accurately. Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments with a focus on senior care or individuals with disabilities. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation of patient information and medical records. Knowledge of assisting with ADLs, including mobility support using Hoyer lifts or similar equipment. Familiarity with dementia care techniques, Alzheimer's care strategies, memory care practices, and hospice support. Ability to perform medical procedures such as catheter care, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic wound management. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times. Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or other special needs within home or community settings. Competence in cooking nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions while maintaining cleanliness standards. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in live-in employment arrangements or flexible schedules that meet client needs.
