Job Description

Overview We're looking for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide clinical services to our Organic Market customers. Are you Entrepreneurial? This is an opportunity to work for yourself under Montana's Full Practice Authority (FPA) . NPs in Montana are legally allowed to open and operate their own independent medical practices without a collaborating physician. PAs over 8,000 hours of postgraduate clinical experience (roughly 4 years of full-time work), are completely exempt from the MD collaboration agreement requirement ( Optimal Practice Environment ). We're interested in expanding to other states that allow these autonomous arrangements. We are interested in the telehealth model for Hims & Hers "direct-to-consumer digital front door" design. Instead of dealing with traditional insurance, long waits, or brick-and-mortar doctor visits, they rely on a cash-pay, subscription-based telehealth framework. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes across diverse clinical settings. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your advanced clinical skills, critical care experience, and proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care. You will be at the forefront of diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of medical conditions, ensuring high-quality service in inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and specialty care environments. Embrace a role that challenges you to grow professionally while making a meaningful difference in patients' lives every day. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to establish accurate diagnoses. Manage acute and chronic conditions utilizing advanced clinical skills such as suturing, injection administration, and airway management. Perform diagnostic evaluations using medical imaging and laboratory data collection to inform treatment plans. Provide specialized care in areas such as pain management, infectious disease care, geriatrics, pediatrics, neonatal ventilator management, hospice & palliative medicine, and occupational health. Utilize EMR systems like Epic, Cerner, and eClinicalWorks for documentation of patient encounters, medical records management, CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding procedures, and data management. Assist in clinical research and clinical trials to advance evidence-based practices and improve patient outcomes. Support hospital-based activities including triage in emergency rooms or urgent care settings, ventilator management in ICU or PICU units, and post-acute care planning. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, infection control protocols, radiation therapy coordination, and home care services such as dialysis or tube feeding. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and security of medical records. Skills Extensive experience with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, and eClinicalWorks for documentation and data collection. Proficiency in advanced procedures such as suturing, phlebotomy, IV infusion therapy, spinal taps, gastric lavage, and dermal fillers. Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to support accurate patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation. Critical care expertise including ICU experience with ventilator management and Level I & II trauma center exposure. Familiarity with CPT coding for procedures and ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9) for billing purposes. Experience in hospital medicine settings such as medical-surgical units or emergency rooms; telehealth experience is a plus. Ability to perform physical examinations efficiently while adhering to aseptic techniques; knowledge of basic life support protocols is essential. Skills in health coaching for preventive care initiatives; experience with clinical research or public health projects is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for patient education on topics like family planning or addiction counseling; ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Join us if you're passionate about delivering exceptional patient care through innovative practices and collaborative teamwork! This paid position offers a vibrant environment where your skills will thrive while you help shape the future of healthcare delivery across diverse populations.
