Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients across diverse settings. As a vital member of the caregiving team, you will provide essential support to patients by assisting with daily activities, monitoring health status, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a home care setting. Your expertise will help promote patient well-being and quality of life while fostering a caring and respectful atmosphere. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Preparing meals, light housekeeping and running small errands. Monitor vital signs and observe changes in patient condition, accurately documenting findings in electronic health records (EHR systems). Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper technique and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory impairments. Utilize a new EHR specific to Compass Home HealthCare to document patient interactions accurately and efficiently. Engage with with elderly clients to deliver tailored care that respects individual needs and conditions. Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with current state licensure. Patience and good listening skills are a must as companionship is a majority of what we do. Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS). Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation. Prior experience with specialized care areas including dementia/memory care, behavioral health, hospice, or infectious disease management is highly desirable. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting using or assisting with mobility aids safely. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the management team and provide excellent patient service. Demonstrated caregiving skills for individuals with physical impairments.
