Englewood, NJ Job Details Full-time $25.75 an hour 23 hours ago Qualifications English High school diploma or GED CNA Full Job Description Actors Fund Home , an assisted living, skilled nursing, accredited dementia care and sub-acute rehabilitation center located in Englewood, NJ, and a recipient of a CMS Five Star Rating seeks a Full time 3pm-11:30pm Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). In this role, the CNA will be responsible for providing daily routine non-professional nursing care and basic technical nursing care under the direction and supervision of the professional nursing staff.

JOB DUTIES

Provide care to residents in all aspects of personal care and hygiene; keep each resident clean, well-groomed and as comfortable as possible. Assist residents with their ADLs (activities of daily living), such as transfers, bathing, hygiene, grooming, toileting, etc.; encourage self-help and independence whenever possible. Assist professional staff in rendering treatments and examining residents in isolation, dying or deceased. Assist in arranging transportation, reminding residents of appointments, accompanying residents to appointments or programs as needed. Assist residents in preparing for medical tests (i.e. lab work, x-ray, therapy, etc.) and collect specimens as instructed. Participate in the development and implementation of residents' Care Plans. Answer all call bells promptly. Maintain residents' privacy and confidentiality; ensure that all residents are treated fairly and with kindness, dignity and respect. Report all resident changes in condition or unusual findings as well as incidents and accidents promptly to the nurse on duty.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have an active NJ Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification and must maintain active certification. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent certification. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Possess effective interpersonal skills in working with residents, co- workers, families and various health professionals. Be adaptable to change and able to meet crisis and emergencies. Ability to work independently and problem solve with minimal supervision. Must have an understanding of, affection for, and a desire to work with the aging.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to lift, move and carry supplies and equipment. Must be able to pass the facility's physical examination upon employment and annually thereafter.

ABOUT THIS POSITION

This is a Full-Time (40 hours) hourly position paying $25.75/HR based at The Actors Fund Home in Englewood, NJ. Shifts include 7am-3pm or 3pm-11pm and working every other weekend. The successful candidate must be able to cover assigned shifts on a regular basis, including holidays, and should be available to cover vacations/call outs of other Certified Nursing Assistants on occasion.
