What You'll Do
As a Lead CNA/CMA, you'll play a key role in shaping the quality of care in Assisted Living. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll support, train, and guide new team members while ensuring residents receive safe, dignified, and individualized care.
You'll be especially impactful in supporting residents living with dementia and Alzheimer's disease-bringing both clinical skill and compassion to every interaction.
Lead onboarding and training for new Residential Medication Aides, supporting them in resident care, safety, documentation, and community procedures
Administer and/or supervise medication administration
Accurately document medication administration and monitor resident responses, reporting concerns to the RN
Perform delegated clinical tasks including finger-stick blood sugars and insulin administration
Receive, verify, and properly store pharmacy deliveries
Ensure consistent adherence to the "Six Rights" of medication administration
Support medication pass observations, competencies, and ongoing compliance requirements
Communicate clearly and professionally with residents, families, team members, and clinical staff
What We're Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent
Active New Jersey CNA certification
Completion of a NJDOHSS-approved Medication Administration Course
Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals living with dementia and/or Alzheimer's disease
Completion of required MSR resident care training (as applicable)
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Outlook)
Ability to operate standard office equipment
Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle per company policy
