Certifications:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience Needed:
Prior clinical experience as a CNA/NA in an ambulatory, outpatient, or urgent care setting preferred, experience serving underserved, rural, or remote patient populations a plus, familiarity with Native American or tribal healthcare communities preferred.
Special Skills Needed:
Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation RPMS (Resource and Patient Management System), training provided if needed Medical terminology Patient intake, vital signs, height and weight (all age groups) Appointment scheduling and patient outreach Sterilization/autoclaving of medical instruments Medical supply inventory management and restocking Immunization record updates and daily vaccine temperature monitoring Point-of-care (POC) glucose quality control checks Patient social risk factor screenings (suicide risk, depression, alcohol/tobacco use, home safety) Wound care assistance and oxygen administration Infection prevention and control compliance Professional communication with patients, staff, and the public
Responsibilities:
Escort patients to examination rooms; perform patient intake including vital signs, height, and weight for patients of all ages; document all findings in the EHR Enter provider schedules into RPMS; schedule patient appointments; send reminder notifications Provide clerical and administrative support to nursing and medical staff, including answering phones and resolving scheduling conflicts in coordination with telephone triage nurses Perform autoclaving/sterilization of medical instruments; manage and restock medical supply inventory Administer oxygen and assist with wound care as directed Update immunization records; conduct daily vaccine temperature monitoring Perform point-of-care (POC) glucose quality control checks Assist with patient screenings for social risk factors including suicide risk, depression, alcohol use, tobacco use, and home safety Serve as patient chaperone during examinations when required Prepare and maintain examination rooms for clinical procedures Strictly adhere to infection prevention and control standards Maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times; comply with HIPAA, Privacy Act, and IHS Standards of Conduct Prime Physicians is a physician-led, The Joint Commission (TJC) Accredited, ISO 9001 certified and CMMI Level 3 appraised organization.
