Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care, assist with daily activities, and support clinical staff in delivering exceptional health services across various care settings. Responsibilities Assist patients and residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and feeding to promote independence and comfort. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; accurately document findings using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Support clinical procedures such as catheter care, wound care, phlebotomy, and aseptic techniques to ensure safety and hygiene standards are maintained. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments by implementing tailored memory care strategies. Collaborate with healthcare teams in acute care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers; assist during emergency situations using basic life support (BLS) skills. Maintain patient records meticulously in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Use equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with patient transfers while adhering to proper body mechanics and safety protocols. Requirements Valid CNA certification from an accredited program; current state licensure required. Prior experience working in diverse healthcare settings including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care environments. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for accurate documentation. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices including aseptic technique. Experience caring for individuals with complex needs such as behavioral health issues or developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting with Hoyer lifts and assisting patients with mobility challenges. Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient service; ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
