Nursing Assistant - Full Time. Day or Night shift, 7a-7:30p, 7p-7:30a. This position is eligible for applicable shift pay differentials. Nursing Assistants provide hands-on patient care and support in inpatient programs, including detox, rehab, and residential treatment. They help maintain a safe, caring environment while working with the healthcare team to support patient well-being.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Assist patients with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, and using the bathroom Help patients move safely, including transfers and using wheelchairs, walkers, or canes Provide nursing care by performing medical tasks including vital signs, weight, finger-stick blood tests, ECGs, and breathalyzer tests. Collect specimens for point-of-care testing as needed. Make sure patients eat, drink, and stay hydrated Assist with room searches, skin assessments, conduct patient safety checks are required Guide patients for scheduled medications, provider visits, lab tests, groups and activities, etc. Monitor medical supply inventory and replenish stock Provide assistance during admissions, transfers, and discharges Provide emotional support and help during emergencies and/or crisis situations. Complete incident reports as necessary Encourage patients to take part in their treatment and recovery Maintain a safe and caring environment, delivering care in a culturally sensitive manner and consistent with Wellbridge mission, vision, and values

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ability to assess medical needs and provide patient care. For patient care needs, this is an on-site role. Consistently move self about patient care areas. Occasionally lift and move medical equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance. Ability to verbally communicate related to patient care. Consistent computer and phone, general office equipment use. Update medical records while in a stationary position up to 30% of the time.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in NYS preferred. Related experience in healthcare, nursing, or behavioral health. Experience in detox, rehab, or withdrawal management settings is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within 60 days) Basic knowledge of substance use and mental health required, familiarity with OASAS, ASAM, and Joint Commission standards is preferred.
