HOUR Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Registered Nurse's (RN) to join our healthcare team in New York City. The RN will provide high-quality patient care, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and play a vital role in promoting health, recovery, and patient safety across various healthcare settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, and home health agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
Assess patient health conditions through interviews, physical examinations, and review of medical histories. Develop, implement, and evaluate personalized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed. Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatments. Assist with diagnostic tests, procedures, and patient examinations. Provide patient education regarding health conditions, medications, and procedures. Support patient mobility, comfort, and hygiene, including assisting with activities of daily living. Coordinate discharges, outpatient follow-ups, and consultations. Ensure compliance with healthcare policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards. Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care and communication. Respond quickly to emergency situations and provide first aid or life support (including BLS and ACLS procedures). Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver holistic patient-centered care. Promote a safe, clean, and calming environment for patients and staff. Participate in continuous quality improvement and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
Valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license. Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred). Current CPR/BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred for certain specialties. Proven clinical experience in a healthcare setting (hospital, clinic, long-term care, etc.). Strong knowledge of nursing practices, medical terminology, and healthcare standards. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Compassionate with a strong commitment to patient advocacy and safety.
Preferred Qualifications:
Specialized certifications (e.g., IV therapy, wound care, palliative care). Bilingual abilities (English and Spanish or other languages). Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Prior experience in specific specialties such as pediatrics, geriatrics, ICU, or emergency.
Work Environment:
This position involves working in dynamic healthcare environments such as hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, or home health. Flexibility with scheduling, including weekends, nights, and holidays, is frequently required.
