N/A Performs the primary function of a nurse leader in assessing, planning, directing clinical practice, and evaluating all aspects of the nursing process including the budgeting process, payroll process, and staffing process for the Nursing Division in coordination with the
SVP, CNO.
Responsible for establishing, implementing, and overseeing adherence of systems and processes to evaluate departmental effectiveness and implement strategies to improve efficiency and safe patient outcomes. A key focus for this position is the responsibility to assure that the nursing division is functioning in accordance with best practice standards, evidence-based practice and in line with all regulatory agencies. Responsible for ensuring that the coordination of patient services and communication within the acute care areas and across the continuum of care with the key individuals of the interdisciplinary team is an ongoing process. Promotes and supports the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the Hospital and the Division of Nursing. Influences policies that achieve health equity, promotes wellness, protects against inequity for people of marginalized and underrepresented communities.
