Assistant Head Nurse (RN)

Glendale Home is accepting applications for an Assistant Head Nurse for our 40 bed Rehab unit. The Assistant Head Nurse works along side the Head Nurse to monitor residents and administer treatments. They assist with the implementation of strategies and activities designed to achieve and support a high-level of quality care to the residents of the Nursing Home in a safe, dignified and compassionate environment.

Daily activities also include:

• Protecting residents and staff by adhering to infection control policies and procedures
• Resolving Resident and family concerns and needs through utilization of multidisciplinary team strategies
• Participating in regular meetings with physicians and other members of the healthcare staff
• Supervised the overall activities of the unit subordinates in the nursing care of residents and the administration of medication and treatments To qualify, applicants must meet the minimum qualifications below: (A)
• Graduation with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; OR (B)
• Graduation from an approved three-year school of professional nursing or with an Associate's Degree in Nursing and 1-year experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse Possession of a valid license issued by the State of New York to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse throughout employment
