In this vital role, you will provide essential support to nursing staff by assisting with daily patient care, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for individuals across various healthcare settings. Responsibilities Assist with routine patient care activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance using tools like Hoyer lifts and other adaptive equipment Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, ensuring accurate medical documentation Support medication administration under supervision, adhering to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques to maintain patient safety Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in various settings such as long-term care facilities, hospitals, outpatient clinics, or home & community care environments Maintain infection control standards by practicing proper hand hygiene and following protocols for infectious disease care Document patient information accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks Skills Proven experience working with diverse populations including seniors, pediatrics, or individuals with disabilities in settings such as assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support procedures Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation practices Ability to perform catheter care, phlebotomy procedures, and operate equipment like Hoyer lifts safely and effectively Strong caregiving skills with a focus on patient service excellence and compassionate communication Experience in acute care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings like emergency medicine or urgent care Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
