Job Description

Position Summary The STNA/Administrative Assistant/Urine Collection Technician provides direct support to clinical operations through client engagement, specimen collection, administrative support, and coordination of services. This position plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with agency policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards while maintaining a professional, client- centered environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Urine Drug Screening and Collection
  • Collect urine specimens in accordance with agency policies, state regulations, and chain-of-custody procedures.
  • Conduct observed and unobserved collections as required by agency protocols.
  • Ensure proper labeling, documentation, storage, and transportation of specimens.
  • Maintain accurate records of all specimen collections and testing activities.
  • Monitor inventory and order collection supplies as needed.
  • Report any collection irregularities or concerns to supervisory staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy during all collection procedures. Administrative Support
  • Answer phones and greet clients, visitors, and referral sources in a professional manner.
  • Schedule appointments, assessments, and client services.
  • Assist with client intake and registration processes.
  • Verify insurance information and assist with obtaining necessary documentation.
  • Maintain electronic and paper records in accordance with HIPAA and agency policies.
  • Scan, file, and organize client documentation.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and other administrative documents as assigned.
  • Monitor office supplies and coordinate ordering when needed.
  • Support staff with scheduling, communication, and operational tasks. Client Support Services
  • Assist clients in navigating agency services and appointments.
  • Provide basic support and information regarding agency programs and procedures.
  • Monitor waiting areas and ensure a welcoming, safe, and professional environment.
  • Assist clinical staff with non-clinical client needs as assigned.
  • Observe and report any client concerns, safety issues, or behavioral changes to clinical staff. Compliance and Quality Assurance
  • Adhere to all HIPAA, CARF, OMHAS, Medicaid, and agency requirements.
  • Maintain current STNA certification and any required agency trainings.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and quality improvement activities.
  • Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times.
  • Support agency accreditation and compliance activities.
Qualifications Required:
  • Current Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Preferred:
  • Experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, healthcare, or social services.
  • Experience conducting urine drug screens or specimen collections.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, Medicaid, and behavioral health regulations.
  • CPR and First Aid certification. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to perform urine collection procedures and related documentation.
  • Ability to work in an office and clinical environment.
Work Environment This position works in an outpatient behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment setting and may interact with clients experiencing mental health, substance use, or co-occurring disorders.

From $16.00 per hour
