Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA), where your compassionate care and clinical skills will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. In this vital role, you will provide direct patient care, support clinical staff, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for individuals across various healthcare settings. Your expertise will contribute to delivering high-quality, patient-centered services in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that values teamwork and excellence. Duties Assist licensed nurses with patient care activities, including bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility assistance using equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring precise documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), emphasizing dignity and respect while maintaining safety protocols such as aseptic technique and infection control measures. Administer medications and treatments as directed by nursing staff, adhering to HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards. Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to the healthcare team, especially in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers. Assist with specialized care needs including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, behavioral health support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities. Operate medical equipment such as catheters, IVs, oxygen therapy devices, and assist with procedures like phlebotomy when trained and authorized. Requirements Valid State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification or equivalent licensure. Proven experience in diverse healthcare environments including long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), assisted living communities, or home & community care settings. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology principles, and basic life support (BLS). Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation. Experience working with elderly populations in geriatrics or memory care settings; experience in acute or post-acute care is highly valued. Ability to perform physical tasks involving lifting equipment like Hoyer lifts and assist with patient mobility safely. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and provide excellent patient service. $23.42 - $28.20 per hour
