PRN block schedule (must work schedule needed by facility, cannot make own schedule). Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility using tools like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to track patient health status accurately Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to promote patient safety in all procedures Document patient care activities thoroughly in medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care, ICU, emergency medicine, behavioral health, or post-acute settings to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care Assist with specialized care needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, hospice support, or pediatric care as required Experience Candidates should bring a strong foundation in diverse healthcare environments including long-term care facilities, hospitals (Level I Trauma Center experience preferred), nursing homes, or outpatient clinics. Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is highly valued. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks or Cerner is essential. Demonstrated expertise in critical care areas like ICU or trauma units enhances your candidacy. Experience with phlebotomy, catheter care, medical-surgical procedures, and medication administration will set you apart. A background in geriatrics, behavioral health, urgent care settings, or home & community care is also advantageous. Candidates must possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and demonstrate excellent knowledge of physiology and anatomy to provide safe and effective patient service.
