In this vital role, you will provide direct patient care across various settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home health environments. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure patients receive the highest quality of care, fostering comfort, safety, and dignity. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in diverse medical disciplines while supporting individuals of all ages and needs. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; accurately document findings using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems. Support clinical procedures such as catheter care, wound dressing changes, phlebotomy (blood draws), and medication administration under supervision. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory impairments, or behavioral health conditions; deliver compassionate memory and behavioral support. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care settings like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers; assist with patient transfers and use aseptic techniques to prevent infection. Maintain a safe environment by following infection control protocols and adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Assist in patient education and support families by communicating care plans clearly and empathetically. Skills Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care settings. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic life support procedures. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Experience with specialized care such as ICU, emergency medicine, hospice care, pediatric or geriatric populations. Ability to perform complex tasks like catheter care, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and aseptic technique adherence. Strong caregiving skills with a focus on patient safety and comfort; experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is highly valued. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within healthcare teams and provide compassionate patient service.
