RN- CNA/QMA Instructor

Work One Day Per Week The Program Instructor will be a hardworking and enthusiastic teaching professional with excellent subject knowledge, a sound understanding of the Certified Nursing Assistant and Qualified Medication Aide curriculum and a strong desire to teach student the necessary skills to be successful in the field. This position is ideal for a retired nurse or someone who already is employed PRN or part time.

Responsibilities Include:

Teach the curriculum as outlined by the Program Director and mandated by the Indiana State Department of Health Supervises and ensures that each student is following all Federal, State, program and facility rules, regulations policies and procedures. Assists in maintaining and updating records for each site review Will work closely with the leadership and staff in the facility to identify and incorporate Lightstone core values, key policies and processes into the QMA program as much as possible

QUALIFICATIONS

The Program Instructor must be a registered nurse, with a current, active license to practice; with at least two years of nursing experience, at least one of which is in the provision of long term care facility services caring for the elderly or the chronically ill of any age, in direct patient care. Experience as a CNA preferred, but not required Must be self motivated, neat and have great communication skills Available to work 1 day per week Skilled in remote work and basic microsoft suite functions If interested and meet the above qualifications, please submit resume
