In this role, you will support nursing staff by delivering essential daily assistance to patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive environment where patients feel valued and cared for. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, utilizing your skills in medical documentation, patient care, and specialized procedures such as medication administration and vital signs monitoring. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs accurately, ensuring timely communication of any changes to the nursing team Support complex patient needs in our group homes and day program Provide specialized care for people with developmental disabilities and seizure disorders. Perform basic medical tasks including medication administration Maintain detailed and accurate medical records Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infectious diseases Assist with patient transfers and positioning using equipment like Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids Engage in ongoing education related to the needs of the patient Qualifications Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing with the state licensing board Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or pediatric patients Knowledge of medical terminology, and HIPAA regulations to ensure compliant patient interactions Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) certification and demonstrate competency in infection control practices Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist with patient mobility tasks safely Join us in making a meaningful difference every day by providing exceptional care that improves lives.
