Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) specializing in Long Term Care. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care to residents in a supportive environment that emphasizes dignity, respect, and personalized attention. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your caregiving skills in a dynamic setting focused on long-term health and well-being. Duties Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates using electronic health record (EHR) systems Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety protocols Provide specialized care for residents with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory impairments, utilizing techniques like memory care strategies and behavioral health approaches Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids to ensure safe transfers and prevent injury Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program Licensed in the state of South Carolina. CNA License. Experience working in long-term care facilities, nursing homes, assisted living or similar environments preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, catheter care, and basic life support (BLS) certification required Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks) systems for accurate documentation Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs, including those with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Strong communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and family members Demonstrated commitment to patient service excellence, safety protocols, and confidentiality standards Join us in making a meaningful difference every day!
