Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PCA/CNA (Personal Care Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality, personalized care to patients across various settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and toileting to promote independence and dignity Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; document findings accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems Support medication administration under supervision or according to facility protocols, ensuring safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and perform catheter care with aseptic technique to maintain patient safety and comfort Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to deliver comprehensive patient care across acute care, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), emergency medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, and behavioral health settings Assist with medical procedures like phlebotomy when trained and certified; ensure proper documentation of medical records and procedures performed Requirements Valid certification as a CNA or PCA license; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred Experience working in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable Prior experience in medical-surgical units, emergency medicine, hospice care, or post-acute settings is advantageous Knowledge of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology principles, and infection control practices including aseptic technique Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations including children, seniors, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient service; ability to work independently and as part of a team Join us in delivering exceptional patient-centered care that transforms lives!
