Job Description
CNA / PCT
/ Caregiver Golden Oasis Assisted Living Arlington, TX Job Details Full-time $12 - $15 an hour 17 hours ago Benefits Free parking Paid orientation Qualifications Medication administration Caregiving Assisting with ADLs Cleaning CNA Full Job Description This Is Not Your Average Caregiving Job Golden Oasis Assisted Living is a small, nurse-owned residential care home. We house up to 6 seniors — and we treat every single one of them like family. That means the work here is personal. You will know your residents by name, by preference, by mood. You'll know some residents take their coffee before breakfast and that some don't like to be rushed in the morning. This isn't a facility where you clock in, complete tasks, and disappear. This is a home — and we need people who show up like it. We are looking for a caregiver who is compassionate, accountable, and operates with integrity — even when no one is watching. Especially when no one is watching. What This Job Actually Looks Like We'll be straight with you: this work is hard. Some days are deeply rewarding. Some days are physically and emotionally demanding. You need to be prepared for both. On any given shift, you may be:- Bathing, grooming, and dressing residents who need full or partial assistance — this includes personal hygiene care that requires patience, gentleness, and zero judgment
- Administering medications accurately and on schedule, and documenting everything correctly — this is a non-negotiable responsibility
- Monitoring vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations) and flagging any changes to the nurse on duty
- Cooking and preparing meals that are nutritious, appealing, and meet dietary needs — this is a home, not a cafeteria
- Light housekeeping and laundry — keeping the home clean, tidy, and a place residents are proud to live in
- Providing companionship — sitting with someone who is lonely, listening when someone needs to talk, being a calm, steady presence for a person who may be confused or afraid
- Supporting residents with dementia and memory care needs , which requires patience, de-escalation skills, and the ability to meet people where they are
- Documenting care activities using our electronic health record system Some shifts will be physically demanding.
Golden Oasis:
- Shows up — because to them, it's personal. Our residents depend on familiar faces, consistent routines, and caregivers they trust. You understand that your presence is part of the care.
- Takes ownership of the full picture. If something isn't right, you say something. You see the shift through — not just your tasks, but the people behind them.
- Leads with dignity. You treat every resident the way you'd want your own parent treated — with patience, respect, and zero judgment, regardless of the circumstance.
- Is at peace with the hard parts. You know that some shifts involve incontinence care, difficult behaviors, and emotional weight. You don't shy away from those moments — you show up for them.
- Communicates like a teammate. With residents, with families, and with us. In a home this small, your voice matters and your relationships matter.
- Is ready to build something. Golden Oasis is growing. We want people who want to grow with it — who see their role here as more than a job. Minimum Qualifications
- At least 1 year of hands-on caregiving experience (required) — assisted living, nursing home, group home, or in-home care
- Certified Nursing Aide/Assistant certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to administer medications accurately and document per state regulations
- Experience with or willingness to learn EMR/EHR documentation systems
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Valid ID and ability to pass a background check What We Offer
- Competitive hourly pay: $12.00 - $15.00/hour based on experience
- Paid orientation — we set you up to succeed before your first solo shift
- Free parking
- A small, team-oriented environment where your work is seen and valued
- The opportunity to be part of a growing, nurse-led care home where your input matters A Word From Our Owner "Our residents are someone's mother, someone's father — people who have lived full lives and deserve to be treated that way.
