This role includes assisting with activities of daily living and specialized care such as G-tube support, suctioning, and safe patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts, ensuring client safety, comfort, and well-being. Key Responsibilities Personal Care & Support Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including: Bathing, grooming, dressing Toileting and incontinence care Mobility, transfers, and repositioning Safely assist with transfers using Hoyer lift and other mobility equipment Provide companionship and emotional support Assist with meal preparation and feeding (as appropriate) Nurse Delegated Tasks (per RN delegation and state regulations) Administer medications (oral, topical, and other approved routes) Perform G-tube care , including: Feeding administration (bolus or continuous as directed) Flushing and site care Monitoring for complications (leakage, infection, dislodgement) Perform suctioning (oral and/or tracheal, if trained and delegated) Monitor and record vital signs Blood glucose monitoring Assist with basic wound care Other tasks as delegated by a licensed nurse Health Monitoring & Documentation Observe and promptly report changes in client condition Document care provided, including delegated tasks Follow individualized care plans and nurse instructions Safety & Compliance Follow infection control and universal precautions Maintain HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality Adhere to all nurse delegation rules and state regulations Qualifications Active CNA certification (or state-required caregiver certification) Completion of Nurse Delegation training (required for delegated tasks) Experience with Hoyer lift transfers and safe patient handling Demonstrated competency in G-tube care and suctioning (training required) Current CPR/First Aid certification Ability to follow RN direction and care plans Preferred Qualifications Experience with medically complex or high-acuity clients Background in home care, assisted living, or long-term care Familiarity with mobility aids, enteral feeding, and airway support Work Environment Client homes, assisted living, or care facilities May involve caring for medically fragile individuals Physical Requirements Ability to safely lift and transfer clients (with equipment as needed) Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and repositioning clients Benefits Flexible scheduling Health benefits 401(k) plan Employee recognition program Why Join Home Helpers? Pay:
