The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, excellent interpersonal skills, and a comprehensive understanding of medical procedures and documentation. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to patients across various healthcare settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, and outpatient clinics. Your expertise will contribute significantly to enhancing patient comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort. Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support medical staff by preparing patients for examinations or procedures, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Provide specialized care for individuals with conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or developmental disabilities, utilizing memory care strategies when appropriate. Assist with medical procedures including catheter care, phlebotomy, and medication administration under supervision of licensed healthcare professionals. Operate patient lifts such as Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers and mobility assistance. Maintain detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations while ensuring the confidentiality of patient records. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care environments like Level I Trauma Centers or ICU units to deliver comprehensive patient service. Requirements Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) are preferred. Proven experience working in diverse healthcare settings including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care environments. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks; experience with EHR systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices necessary for accurate patient care documentation. Experience caring for patients with complex needs such as behavioral health issues or infectious diseases; experience in geriatrics or memory care is advantageous. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments including emergency medicine or Level II trauma centers while maintaining attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work compassionately with individuals of all ages and disabilities; experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is beneficial.
