As a vital member of the caregiving team, you will provide essential support to patients, assist with daily activities, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in various healthcare environments, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and home care settings. Your expertise will help promote health, dignity, and independence for those in your care. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices. Monitor and record vital signs accurately using medical documentation systems and electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Support patient care by administering medications under supervision, managing catheter care, and performing basic medical procedures like phlebotomy when qualified. Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper hand hygiene practices to prevent infectious disease transmission. Collaborate with healthcare teams in acute care, critical care, ICU, emergency medicine, or behavioral health settings to deliver comprehensive patient support. Document patient information meticulously in medical records while respecting HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality. Assist with specialized care needs including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities. Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program. Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS). Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for accurate documentation. Prior experience with patient service tasks including vital signs measurement, medication administration (if qualified), and use of medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts or DME (Durable Medical Equipment). Ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages and backgrounds—including pediatrics and geriatrics—and demonstrate excellent caregiving skills. Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques necessary for safe patient interactions across various clinical settings.
