Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Waterview Health & Rehab Center | Skilled Nursing Facility Job Summary Waterview Health & Rehab Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our care team. In this role, you will provide direct, hands-on resident care, assisting with activities of daily living while promoting comfort, dignity, and independence. CNAs are essential members of our interdisciplinary team and play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents every day. About Waterview Health & Rehab Center Waterview Health & Rehab Center is a state-of-the-art skilled nursing facility located in the heart of Hampton, conveniently accessible near I-81. Our progressive 132-bed community offers both private and semi-private rooms. We take the well-being of our residents seriously and strive to create an environment where everyone feels safe, respected, and truly at home. Essential Job Functions The Certified Nurse Aide is responsible for providing quality resident care, including but not limited to: Assisting with or providing total personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Assuring appropriate food and fluid intake for residents Transferring, positioning, and ambulating residents safely Observing and promptly reporting changes in residents' physical or mental condition Receiving and accepting assigned duties and responsibilities Performing nursing procedures within the CNA scope of practice Following infection prevention and disease control procedures at all times Maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents Carrying out additional duties as assigned by the charge nurse or supervisor Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to perform the essential physical demands of resident care, including: Frequent standing, walking, stooping, balancing, pushing, and pulling Frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds Frequent reaching, grasping, and fine motor manipulation Frequent bending at the waist, kneeling, and stair climbing Occasional sitting, crawling, and working with arms above shoulder height Continuous ability to distinguish colors Job Qualifications Education and Certification Requirements Candidates must meet Virginia Board of Nursing requirements and hold one of the following: Current certification as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) by examination, including:
  • Completion of a Virginia Board of Nursing-approved nurse aide education program, or
  • Enrollment in a nursing education program (RN or LPN) with completion of at least one clinical nursing course, or
