Position Statement The Flex Licensed Nurse Assistant covers the Emergency, Maternal/Child Health & Progressive Care Units and is responsible to care for adult and geriatric patients hospitalized for medical and post-surgical care. Key Responsibilities Assists and supervises patients to perform activities of daily living including bathing, toileting, eating, and ambulating. Performs and documents vital sign checks, glucose monitoring, and bladder scanning. Documents oral intake, elimination output, and patient rounding. Reports patient concerns and changes in patient condition to Staff nurse and/or Charge nurse. Provides compassionate end of life care. Attends and participates in unit education and in-services. Strives to improve the quality of patient care through personal development and unit projects. Collaborates with teammates to promote and preserve a positive work-place culture. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Current Vermont LNA license required. Current BLS certification required. Classes and certification offered by Employer. Maintains current AVADE certification. Classes and certification offered by Employer. All successful employees adhere to the Standards of Behavior including: confidentiality, delivery of care, professional appearance, service recovery, communication, attitude, integrity, accountability, and health/safety.
