Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Director of Nursing for Assisted Living! In this vital leadership role, you will oversee the delivery of exceptional nursing care within our assisted living community, ensuring residents receive personalized, compassionate support while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. Your expertise will guide a team of dedicated nursing professionals, fostering a positive environment that promotes resident well-being and operational excellence. Responsibilities Lead and supervise nursing staff to ensure high-quality care delivery aligned with resident needs and regulatory requirements Develop, implement, and oversee individualized care plans for residents, ensuring they meet medical and emotional needs Manage shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing coverage while optimizing operational efficiency Review medical records, documentation, and assessments regularly to maintain accuracy and compliance with HIPAA and other privacy standards Coordinate interdisciplinary communication among healthcare providers, families, and staff to promote seamless care transitions Oversee the management of electronic health records (EHR) systems and ensure timely documentation review and updates Ensure adherence to federal Medicare regulations and assist with MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments for reimbursement purposes Maintain knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and nursing best practices to guide clinical decision-making Supervise medication administration processes, ensuring safety protocols are followed in accordance with nursing administration standards Foster a culture of continuous improvement by providing coaching, training, and leadership development opportunities for staff Qualifications Valid LPN license with current state licensure required Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising or management experience in healthcare environments Strong knowledge of nursing practices including care plans, documentation review, and medical records management Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems used in long-term care facilities Understanding of Medicaid regulations, hospice care principles, acute care procedures, and HIPAA compliance standards Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with residents' families, healthcare teams, and regulatory agencies Ability to manage multiple shifts efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation and resident care Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and the principles of nursing management Embark on a rewarding journey where your leadership directly enhances the quality of life for our residents.
