Advanced Joint Care Center In this position the Certified Nursing Assistant for our Advanced Joint Care Center will to promote recovery from total joint replacements post-surgery. The Certified Nursing Assistant for the Advanced Joint Care Center will: Take and record vital signs accurately and in a timely manner, reporting unusual signs and symptoms to appropriate personnel. Provide personal hygiene care for patients such as bathing, oral care, hair/nail grooming, back rubs, etc., while maintaining a clean, safe environment and documents accordingly. Assist patients with their nutritional needs and documents appropriately on the nursing record. Assist patients with ambulation, transporting via wheelchair, stretcher or bed while maintaining safety for the patients. Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges of patients and records on appropriate nursing forms. Observe safety precautions including call lights within easy reach, bed positions in low, side rails up, proper use of safety restraints, and continuous rounding on all patients. Initiates use of bed alarms when appropriate. Maintain confidentiality of all patients, hospital and/or physician related information while performing work related duties in a professional manner. Perform the following procedures and appropriately documents: K-pad application Apply non-sterile compress Set up basic traction frames Proper use of EPC's Foley catheter removal Empty colostomy bags Obtain clean catch urine specimen May fulfill the role and assist with cardiac monitoring if EKG course graduate and/or score 85% or higher on BMH EKG exam. May perform 12 lead and passed competency.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Current CNA Certification with the Wisconsin registry. Demonstrates ability to do simple math functions. CPR certification within three (3) months of hire. Possesses the training, knowledge, and skills necessary to perform one or more of the following activities (evaluation, treatment, and/or patient care) for patients in one or more of the following age groups: neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric Successful completion of pre-placement physical examination. Involves physical effort that includes full range of body motion which includes standing, walking for extensive periods of time. Also assists with lifting patients up to 25 pounds weight, pushing transport carts ranging in weight of 50-200 pounds. Required to have manual and finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination. Requires ability to see and hear at a level sufficient to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to speak clearly and distinctly and to interact positively with physicians, peers, and patients.

Registered Nurse, Clinical Manager, and Department Director.
