Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the third shift, where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that values teamwork, professionalism, and excellence in patient care. As a vital member of our caregiving staff, you will provide essential support to patients across various settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being during overnight hours. No hoyer lifts. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report any changes promptly to nursing staff. Administer medications and treatments following established protocols and under supervision, ensuring accuracy and safety. Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, adhering to HIPAA regulations. Support infection control practices through aseptic techniques and proper sanitation procedures in compliance with healthcare standards. Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory impairments in memory or behavioral health units. Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility assistance in various clinical settings including ICU, emergency departments, or long-term care facilities. Skills Proven experience working as a CNA in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care settings. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs monitoring techniques. Experience providing specialized care such as hospice support, infectious disease management, or acute care procedures including catheter care and phlebotomy. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges across pediatric to geriatric populations. Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy standards. Excellent caregiving skills combined with physical stamina to assist with patient transfers using Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids.
