$720 Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) specializing in Long Term Care (LTC), where your compassionate care and clinical skills will make a meaningful difference in residents' lives. In this vital role, you will provide direct patient care, assist with daily activities, and support the overall well-being of individuals in a nurturing, respectful environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in diverse settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and sub-acute care centers, all while utilizing your expertise to promote health, safety, and comfort. Responsibilities Deliver personalized patient care by assisting with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, ensuring timely communication of any changes to the healthcare team. Administer medications following established protocols and document all medication administration in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Support infection control practices through aseptic techniques and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), especially when caring for patients with infectious diseases or in hospice settings. Assist with specialized care needs including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, behavioral health management, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Perform catheter care, wound dressing changes, and other medical procedures under supervision while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Operate medical equipment such as vital sign monitors and phlebotomy tools to support comprehensive patient assessments. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across inpatient, outpatient, emergency medicine, ICU, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and Level I trauma centers to ensure seamless patient service. Experience Prior experience working in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or assisted living communities is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Experience in acute care environments including hospitals—especially ICU or Level II trauma centers—is advantageous. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic life support (BLS) certification is required. Background working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health patients or those with disabilities enhances your candidacy. Familiarity with advanced caregiving techniques such as the use of Hoyer lifts or managing complex medication regimens is a plus. Strong understanding of infection prevention protocols and aseptic techniques ensures safe patient interactions across various healthcare settings.
